I started Nomaster Studios in 2002, after being admitted to Shellharbour Psychiatric Ward (I was in the heights of a mania, which is one of things you have to deal with when you're bipolar). At the same time I was about to independently release my second EP that I'd recorded with friends. I wanted to make the EP look like it had been released on my own record label, so, with the help of a pen and some coloured pencils from the psych ward's activity room, I came up with the logo and name 'Nomaster Studios.'
Nomaster Studios is a small business through which Adam sells his artworks and albums. He has recorded music under several names including The Dodgy World, Sweet Sweet Bulbs, Walkman Ray and Adam Buckland Ensemble, and releases his recordings online through the Nomaster Studios Bandcamp site.
